Lovely jar and thick great quality: but the o Lu thing it leaks a little when I do pickling when I want to mix.

This is just like a visit to Grandma's house but her cookie jar wasn't this nice. The big soft silicone seal on this one keeps things safe and fresh. I seldom make cookies, but it holds my homemade sourdough bread and keeps it fresher, longer. The top fits perfectly and it's big enough for a very large batch of cookies. The seller says it could be used for pet food and other things, but I think that "people food" is the best thing here in this house. It's a heavy cookie jar, and built to last. The volume measurement marks on the side are handy and if I was using for flour or rice or something could be nice to have. I'm sure it's breakable so I'll be taking good care of it. Mine came in a nicely padded shipping container and it would make a great and easy to wrap gift, too. An easy five stars for this item.

I really like the size and thickness of the cars, however I returned them because the Seal was very weak. I could lift the lid without much of a tug. It was almost passively just sitting on the jar. This is a concern with freshness for me.
My roommate is a baker, and makes lots and lots of cookies, for us and for assorted friends and neighbors. They also make great bribes to help get assistance for digging sumpholes and firepits while camping. We had been bringing them in gallon zip lock bags, but after a couple of inadvertancies, we had decided to get a cookie jar, this one, to hold our cookies so they won't get broken the next time our other roommate stacks a bag of heavy stuff on the cookies. This jar is simply constructed, and the mouth of the jar is wide enough to reach in all the way, for cleaning. It is quite solid and durable, keeps the cookies fresh, with the help of the frosted glass closure, and appears quite attractive on any table, camp table or kitchen table. Good value.
I really have enjoyed this gallon Mason glass jar. It really is a whole gallon. Be careful if you're going to use it as a cookie jar because it can sure hold a lot of cookies. And I mean a lot. It can hold probably 50 normal size chocolate chip cookies. That's about how many I was able to fit before I ran out of cookies. The late clothes is very nicely and seals well due to the rubber on the rim. This seems like a very durable mason jar and I will probably get a couple more to use for a variety of different things, like in my laundry room and bathroom.
This 1 gallon mason glass jar is made out of good and sturdy glass. The wide mouth allows easy access to store different stuff in it. I have been replacing all my containers from plastic to glass, and this jar allows me to store flour and keep it fresh with the lid closure that creates a tight seal. The only drawback is that the cost it's a little hefty for buying many if them. But the quality seems to be worth it.
I love this jar. It is so big that I can put a ton of stuff into it. Right now I have it filled with cookies, but later I may use it to hold my flour or sugar. The glass is so thick that I don't think it could break from anything other than a fall to the hard floor. The round shape makes it easy to hold onto and the exceptionally large opening makes it easy to get whatever I need out without catching my hand or bumping my measuring cups. The lid is great too. It is also very thick and strong and has a silicone seal that will help keep everything fresh. The seal is tight but not so tight as to make me struggle to open the jar. It is just what I need and well worth the cost.
