Between batches, hand-wash the glass vessel with warm water and avoid antibacterial or strongly scented soaps that can harm your SCOBY and culture. Pay special attention to the spigot: disassemble it, rinse out any yeast or residue, and reassemble snugly so it seals. Distilled white vinegar is a great natural way to clean and sanitize without leaving soap residue.
